A stroll through the large cellars of Meursault will allow you to discover the "underbelly" of the village: as early as the 11th century, the monks of Cîteaux settled in Meursault (21 Côte d'Or, Burgundy) where they harvested white mass wine, and where they built cellars and barns. These buildings were constructed in the grounds of today's Château de Cîteaux at the end of the 12th century, with magnificent vaulted cellars that you will have the pleasure of admiring.
